John Wilbanks
My name is John Wilbanks, and I am a member of the Patria Score Baja Desert Race Team.
At the age of 6 I feel in love with riding motorcycles. My first bike was a mini bike my father built in the garage and it made me feel like I was a factory rider. We went to the movies in 1979 and saw “On Any Sunday “, a racing movie about the epic Baja 1000. From that moment on that was my dream, racing the Baja.
As a teenager I went to college and had a job to pay for my racing adventures. I raced the local tracks and traveled Texas sometimes sleeping in my truck at the tracks or in a tent. As I grew faster I qualified to race the the astrodome but had a wreck in practice ending that quest. After a few more wrecks and broken bones, I quit racing and started to focus on my career.
I was given a free Yamaha YZ from my brother and the fire was lit again. In 2014 my beloved wife bought me a brand new KTM 450 and off we went again.
Although I am not an elite athlete, endurance motorcycle racing requires supreme fitness. Without a doubt, Patria energy drink and it’s support has allowed me to compete in the Score Baja 500 not once but twice, making the finishing podium both times.
I believe the P10 Pre-workout formula has Also helped me finish the TORCS Sprint Enduro in the extreme heat (103F degree heat index). Consistent use of P10 Pre-workout formula and Patria has brought our team and me to the next level of performance making my dream as a 6 year old boy a reality.
